Information and learning resources
Our website, courses and resources provide general information and education about waste management and related subjects. They do not replace professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
Before applying any guidance, consider local conditions, relevant laws and health and safety requirements. Obtain specialist advice where appropriate.
We take reasonable care when preparing our content, but information may become outdated or contain errors. Please contact us if you identify something that needs correcting.
Completing a course does not, by itself, establish professional competence or provide an accredited qualification unless the course expressly states otherwise.
Any self-assessment tools available through the website provide indicative results based on the information you enter. These results are intended to support discussion and planning; they are not independent verification, certification or a guarantee of project success.

The Resilience Review is a self-assessment tool developed by The Global Waste Lab Ltd. Its questions, scoring methodology, assessment framework and associated materials are protected by intellectual property rights.
You may complete the assessment and download, save and share your own results and report for internal organisational, project planning and discussion purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute or commercially exploit the assessment questions, scoring methodology or underlying tool without our written permission.

You can manage optional cookies through the website’s cookie settings. Accepting these terms does not constitute consent to receive marketing.
Availability and account access
We aim to keep the website available and working properly, but access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance or technical problems.
We may update content and features as our work develops. Where a change materially affects an ongoing course or service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable.
We may restrict account access where reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach of these terms, protect website security or comply with the law. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond.
Our responsibility
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in operating the website. We cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
Where material changes affect an ongoing service for registered users, we will provide reasonable notice and seek agreement where required. Updates will not retrospectively remove rights already granted under a separate agreement or resource licence.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this does not remove any mandatory protections or rights to use your local courts that apply under the law of your country of residence.
